Health and Social Care (Adults)
These awards are essentially about the delivery of Health and Social Care.
They are relevant to all types of people, from those who already have extensive experience of care work, to those who are about to enter the field for the first time.
These qualifications are designed to equip learners with the skill and knowledge needed to care for others in a broad range of Health or Social Care settings including hospitals, care homes, day services or in a person’s own home. These awards prove that you have the skills to support people in most aspects of their daily lives
A Diploma in Health and Social Care is flexible to suit all fields of Health and Social Care, including Domiciliary, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Children and Young People.
Learners can select any pathway that suits their role.
These qualifications are partly assessed at work. The assessor will observe and ask questions of the learner as they perform a task and will look at a portfolio of work that the learner has built as formal evidence of learning.
This is the main qualification required by the Quality Care Commission in England and the Care Councils in Wales and Northern Ireland.
