Operations Manager

Marie left Bangor Technical College with an NNEB Diploma and began her career in early years education, gaining seven years’ experience across private day care nurseries, as a private nanny, and as a childminder.

In 2004, Marie transitioned to adult care, becoming a home carer with Anglesey County Council, supporting vulnerable and elderly people with a range of disabilities including strokes, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Dementia. She then worked as a Care Co-ordinator for a private care company, organising community care packages and liaising with Primary Care Trusts and Social Services, while managing a team of care staff. Marie later progressed to manage a branch of a large complex care organisation, overseeing teams of care co-ordinators, nursing staff, and support workers providing 24-hour care for clients with spinal injuries, acquired brain injuries, and mental health needs.

In 2011, Marie moved into the training sector as a QCF Assessor, gaining her A1 and PTLLS qualifications. She has since delivered training in Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity, Principles of Care, Health and Safety, Person-Centred Planning, Moving and Positioning, Dementia, and End-of-Life Care.

Marie joined the Progression Training team in December 2012 and is now Operations Manager, responsible for managing a staff team across North Wales. In this role, she ensures smooth operational delivery, supports staff development, and maintains high standards across all programmes.
