Lorna Harrod

Training Officer

Lorna joined Progression Training in January 2026 and brings extensive experience across health and social care and childcare settings. She plays a key role in supporting learners, drawing on her strong operational background and in-depth sector knowledge to deliver high-quality training and guidance.

Lorna has worked in the care sector since leaving school, beginning her career on a YTS scheme. She has continually developed her professional qualifications alongside her roles, achieving Level 2, Level 3 and management qualifications in Health and Social Care, as well as Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications in Childcare Management.

Throughout her career, Lorna has progressed from a YTS student to Temporary Manager within a residential care setting and has also spent 10 years in childcare management. She has significant experience working with both adults and children and brings a practical, learner-focused approach shaped by many years in frontline and management roles. Lorna is passionate about supporting new learners and sharing her knowledge and experience to help others progress in their careers.
