Laura left college in 2004 with a BTECH in early years. Laura worked abroad as a children’s holidays rep for a few months before returning home. Laura then worked in a children’s play centre and a private day nursery for 2 years. She progressed in the nursery to room leader with children aged 2-3years.
In 2006 Laura left the nursery setting to gain experience working with adults and children with learning disabilities, autism and brain injuries in a variety of care and support settings.
Laura has always had a passion for the Care sector, and progressed to a team leader where she worked closely with support workers, individuals, their families and other professionals to ensure support plans were person centred and carried out to help the individual to achieve their potential and keep their high quality of life.
With over 10 years’ experience working with adults and children with learning disabilities, Laura decided she would like to progress into a training role as she has always had a passion to help people to learn and develop new skills.
Laura completed her TAQA qualification with Progression Training.
Laura joined the team in 2017.
