Carol Williams

Training Officer

Carol has worked in the care sector for over 30 years. She began her career in a residential care home for the elderly, where she assisted elderly clients with their everyday needs and worked as care assistant for 4 years. She then progressed to assistant manager and after 1 year became the manager. Carol gained her certificate in Advanced Management for Care, which was the qualification she needed to run the home. As manager she was responsible for the day to day running of the home, Person centred care plans, Medication, Hospital and doctors’ appointments, staff recruitment, rotas, menus and daily activities.

Carol gained her D32 and D33 assessor’s award and worked as a work based assessor, delivering level 2 & 3 NVQ in Health and Social care. She worked for 14 years at a residential care home and left to further her career in training as an assessor in Health and Social care.

Carol has worked for a College for 14 years as an assessor where she gained her Diploma in Welfare studies, updated her D32 & D33 to the A1 & A2 Award and also completed her V1 Award, First steps to Teaching, ECDL Award part 1 & 2, IOSH along with Essential Skills Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy. Carol has achieved Agored Cymru Level 2 Award in supporting adults and young people in Essential Skills.
