Anne-Marie has over 20 years’ experience in the social care sector, supporting people across hospital, community residential, and educational settings within the NHS as well as voluntary organisations in Wales. Before moving into work-based learning, she worked as an Area Manager for a number of care homes and day services for people with disabilities. Her passion has always been supporting individuals to reach their full potential.

With more than 30 years’ experience in education and training, Anne-Marie is an Assessor, Internal Verifier, and External Verifier. She is also a registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities) and holds a Master’s in Education (Lifelong Learning). Over the years, she has worked extensively with awarding bodies including City & Guilds, Social Care Wales, and Qualifications Wales, contributing to the development of a new suite of Health and Social Care qualifications. She has previously acted as an External Assessor for City & Guilds on Health and Social Care Management qualifications, Principal Moderator in Health and Social Care for WJEC, and co-authored a textbook to support learners undertaking Health and Social Care qualifications in Wales.

As one of the Company Directors and Co-owners of Progression Training, Anne-Marie has played a key role in all aspects of business management and quality assurance. Having now semi-retired, she continues to support the leadership team by offering guidance, mentorship, and strategic expertise insuring the organisation remains true to its values and committed to delivering high-quality training and learner support.
