The publication detailing the standards and amplification of Essential Skills Wales (ESW) will be distributed to stakeholders by the end of March 2010. Congratulations

Congratulations to all our learners who have completed their apprenticeship qualifications in the last few months. We have had over 40 learners across Wales complete apprenticeships in Health and Social Care.

Recession Reduces Skills Shortages, but Experts Warn Against Complacency (UKCES)

Research published last week reveals that most employers are happy with the calibre of their employees, with some 93% of the UK workforce thought to be proficient at their jobs. However, experts warned against complacency, saying that employers would need to expect more from, and invest more in, their staff in order to remain globally competitive as the fragile economy emerges from recession.
